InProcess Task Force - Call for Participants

AIA Oregon and the Committee on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (CoEDI) are forming a Task Force to revive the InProcess Lecture Series.  The series has been running since 2014 and is structured by pairing an architect with a trade partner.  Each speaker gives a presentation with a focus on describing their design process, followed by group discussion.  The series is an opportunity for our local design community to de-emphasize the finished product, and instead share insights and behind-the-scenes process work with the goal of elevating design dialogue within our community as a whole.  Examples of architect presenters in the past range from Lever, Beebe Skidmore, and Guggenheim Architecture.  Trade partners in the past have ranged from Lead Pencil Studio, Pigeon Toe Ceramics, and Refutees.  

AIA Oregon believes that good design positively impacts future occupants and the larger community.  Our goal is to create inclusive dialogue that promotes healthy spaces for people of all identities.  We hope that you will join us for a visioning session to help us imagine what this series can be moving forward.  Join us on March 9 for a Thursday roundtable discussion.  We welcome anyone who is interested in joining the task force as well as anyone who would simply like to help brainstorm ideas.  People of all identities, ages, and abilities are welcome!
